SMART-map gathers suggestions from the Advisory Board on the industrial pilots

July 7th 2017 eventsproject meetings

The RRI Angels and Societal Watchdog met the SMART-map consortium in Milan on 4 July, to discuss the pilotable tools proposed during the Industrial Dialogues and help address the message to companies. It was a very fruitful discussion, according to Angela Simone from Giannino Bassetti Foundation, who organized the meeting.

The members of the Advisory Board suggested very insightful improvements and reflections on the scope of the pilots and also offered some ideas on how to better structure the SMART Maps. The groups discussed the transformative power of the tools in terms of RRI and reflected on how to make sure that society has a role. They compared the different proposals but also provided general suggestions on the level of details and on the evaluation process. One of the main outcomes of the discussion was the importance of shaping the communication according to the different targets. Special attention should be given to the tool descriptions addressed to the industrial audience, which should be simple and practical to read.

The consortium will then take advantage of the broad range of different expertise and point of views and will elaborate the final SMART Maps to be proposed to industries in the next months.
