After the very productive Industrial Dialogue held in Manchester, SMART-map is now organizing the second event on the same topic: synthetic biologic.
This time the workshop will be hosted by the Central European University in Budapest. On 12-13 June, 18 participants from industry, research organizations, institutions and CSOs will share ideas on a tool to implement responsible innovation in the synthetic biology sector. Some of the participants already joined the Manchester events
The workshop will be introduced by keynote speaker Tamás Fehér, senior research associate at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Biological Research Centre in Szeged. Fehér lab works on the development of experimental genomics tools and applies it for studying the genetic organization of bacterial cells and for designing bacterial cell factories. On the first day of the SMART-map workshop, he will present current developments in this field.
The Budapest event closes the second round of Industrial Dialogues.
In the meantime the consortium is already working on the drafts of the three smart maps to be tested by industries.
