The second Industrial Dialogue on 3D printing in biomedicine will take place in Milan
May 5th 2017 3d Printingevents
On 10-11 May, Italian stakeholders from the medical 3D printing field will meet in Milan to discuss responsible innovation. During the workshop, hosted by the Bassetti Foundation, they will develop ideas for a smart map to be adopted by industries.
The event will pair with the Industrial Dialogue hold in Munich on 6-7 February. Members from industries, civil society organisations and intermediaries will join the workshop and will share their experiences . They will work together on proposing ideas for a responsible innovation tool to be implemented in the field. Results from both Dialogues will be combined into the final smart map.
The discussion will be introduced by keynote speaker Jos Malda, professor of Biofabrication in Transnational Regenerative Medicine at Utrecht University. Together with his team, Malda works on developing novel biofabrication strategies and “bioinks” for 3D printing. On 10 May, he will present his work and provide an overview of the state-of-the art on 3D printing in the biomedical sector.
The last Industrial Dialogue will take place in June in Budapest and will focus on the synthetic biology field.
